Nutritional Therapy - Sara Kirkham BSc.(Hons) (Nutritional Medicine)
Dip. Nutrition, Dip. Therapeutic Dietetics, MBANT

Nutritional therapy involves adapting your diet to provide optimum nutrition for you as an individual, taking into account your goals and any current health conditions. It is the practice of using foods and nutrients to enable our body to 'treat itself', rather than use orthodox drugs, which often treat the symptom rather than the cause.

Nutritional therapy can be helpful for:

  • Weight loss
  • Food allergies or intolerances
  • Heartburn, indigestion, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, and other digestive complaints
  • High blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels and heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • Skin problems such as psoriasis, eczema and acne
  • Headaches and migraines, insomnia and stress
  • Gynecological problems such as PMT, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, heavy or painful periods and menopause

Detoxification, rotation and exclusion diets, balancing calorie intake, and advice regarding supplements are also available.

  • Discover how to turn your diet into a superfood diet
  • All consultations include practical tips to help you change your eating habits
  • Rationale is given for each food and any suggested supplements so that you understand how your diet will work
  • Your lifestyle and eating preferences are taken into consideration: you decide how therapeutic you want your treatment plan to be and how quickly you want results
  • Short weight loss and detox courses also available
