Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners who have completed a four-year degree course, and must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council. Osteopaths do not claim to cure patients and do not treat conditions, but through a process of treatment address the underlying causes that present in many of the common problems we all experience.
Less commonly some osteopaths work in visceral and cranial ways this means we can address many other conditions of a respiratory, digestive or other systemic nature.
A consultation involves a thorough case history, a subsequent physical examination involving the patient dressing down to their underwear, an explanation of findings and treatment options, followed by treatment if suitable. Osteopaths use many treatment techniques of articulating joints, sometimes joint manipulation, relieving tension in muscles, ligaments and tendons and many other methods.
Initial consultation approx. 45 mins - £45
Subsequent consultations approx. 30 mins - £30
